Product works very well
I bought this because I’ve always used a similar product from Murad that is extremely expensive. I was pleasantly surprised that this product works well!! Word of caution: I accidentally over exfoliated my face I didn’t expect this product to do that . It is not that it’s harsh, it does the job!!! It is gentle but a little goes a long way !!

Great, gentle AHA+BHA chemical exfoliator; effective on my aged and acne-prone skin
Quality: A—AHA+BHA are popular known exfoliants, formula looks, feels, and smells fine.Effectiveness: B—Does seem to be helping skin’s texture/tone to improve, hasn’t been long enough to know for sure. Has caused a small amount of “new” acne, very likely to be a mild purge (where your acne temporarily increases due to active ingredients drawing pre-pimples to the surface at an increased rate, then truly decreases after initial surge) and actually a good sign for acne-clearing properties in the long run.Value: B—$16.30 is pricey for a regular cleanser, but as a specialized skin treatment for acne that you use twice a week, it’s not bad.I would absolutely recommend HEIMISH RX AHA BHA Enzyme Scrub to anyone looking for a mild and pleasant chemical exfoliator for use 1-3 times per week for any reason. This milky formula smells as close to nothing as a cosmetic has ever smelled, is easy to use, and rinses off easily. Although I found it to be mild enough to use it every other day, my skin is well used to actives and exfoliants and I would suggest starting off with twice-weekly usage, and increasing as your skin is able to tolerate it over time. In addition to the AHA and BHA, it has an enzyme, bromelain, best known for burning your tongue when you eat too much pineapple. I can’t imagine it’s an ineffective ingredient, but I can’t speak for its efficacy alongside two other ingredients that definitely have visible exfoliating benefits.I can’t help but feel like the packaging reminds me of another product and wonder if it’s meant to be a dupe of something well-known, but even if it was, I like it so much I wouldn’t bother trying the original. I can tell it has been helping the texture of my skin because of how smooth my base layer of makeup goes on, and I feel like some of the sun damage around my eyes and forehead has become less noticeable too.

Fantastic Korean made enzyme scrub!
In short, this is a good enzyme scrub that seems to collect the oil and dirt on my face and gently exfoliate my skin. It is free of fragrance and color, filled with plant-based hydrating / nourishing ingredients, pH-balanced and made-in-Korea, a country renowned for their skin-care. A detailed review follows. My scrub was packaged in a Hemish-branded pinkish red and white box, about 2 ¼ inches wide, 1 ¾ inches deep and 6 ½ inches tall. The tube of cleanser inside the box was just smaller than the box itself. Ingredients and instructions on the box were written in both Korean and English. Those ingredients are: water, cellulose, dipropylene glycol, polyacrylate crosspolymer- 6, glyceryl caprylate, caprylyl glycol, polyglyceryl-10 laurate, propanediol, betaine, glucose, panthenol, allantoin, bromelain, disodium EDTA, citric acid, salicylic acid.My understanding of the ingredients is that the scrub is a water-based mixture of exfoliants (bromelain, salicylic acid, citric acid), moisturizers (betaine, glucose, panthenol, propanediol, caprylyl glycol) with a skin conditioner (allantoin, panthenol). Other ingredients control texture/ viscosity and preserve the formula. Like all the other Korean products I have reviewed, no ingredients raise any health concerns to me.On the outside of the box, the inside of the box, the tube of cleanser, and the Amazon page are matching instructions: “Apply a generous amount to clean wet skin. Gently rub in a circular motion to visibly exfoliate. Rinse well with water.” The Amazon page adds, “Use once a week for oily/complex skin and twice a week for sensitive/troubled skin to keep pores decongested and skin feeling fresh.” I used it exactly as instructed two or three times a week for several weeks. The product came out of the tube as a mid-weight white cream or lotion. Going on the skin it seemed homogenous, but as I rubbed it in slowly the formula would congeal or more likely agglomerate. At this point the formula started to exfoliate my skin and as I rubbed more, the formula further agglomerated. After a few minutes of rubbing, I rinsed my face with water. The cleaner washed off completely as far as I can tell. Like other good cleaners, this one left my skin feeling clean but not stripped and the exfoliants contributed to an additional freshening sensation typical of exfoliants.I found the scrub to be effective at cleaning my face and exfoliating my skin, though the feeling is different and gentler from scrubs that contain physical exfoliants. I did find there was a positive cumulative effect to using the scrub several times a week as my skin looked more refreshed and rejuvenated over the course of weeks.Based on the ingredients and the effectiveness of this scrub, I rate it five-stars.

Soft and Smoothing but Sneaky-Effective
I’ve been using this scrub a couple times a week and I’ve got to say, it’s the kind of exfoliator that doesn’t seem like it’s doing much… until I catch myself in the mirror a week later and go, oh wait, okay. It’s super gentle going on—no stinging, no fragrance, no gritty scrubby stuff—and it just kind of melts into the skin while you rub it in. The texture is this creamy, smooth thing that thickens a little as you go, and then rinses off really easily without leaving any weird film. My face always feels clean but not tight, and my skin’s been looking a little brighter and smoother lately in a way I can’t chalk up to anything else. Now I will say, I had a few little breakouts pop up the first week or two, but it honestly felt like one of those purging-type things where your skin’s just clearing stuff out. Nothing super intense, just a couple annoying spots that faded quickly. I’ve been sticking with it because the overall texture of my skin feels so much better and makeup’s been going on smoother than usual, which is always how I can tell something’s working. I feel like it’s just helping me along slowly but steadily, and I don’t feel over-exfoliated or stripped at all. I’d recommend this to people with all different kinds of skin!
