Review is for Heavy Ultra Thin PadOne of my favorite pads from Kotex is “Clean & Secure”, but it seems to be discontinued so I searched for a replacement within the same brand. I decided to try the “Bamboo” line and what a regret. I’m not sure how to describe it but it pills, fray, shed or lint after a while. I was wearing the pad longer than I expected because I put on a new one before bed and when I woke up, my period decided to go MIA so I continued wearing it since it’s not stained. Hours later the pad started becoming more and more worn out. The fibers kept getting stuck on my skin. A portion of my blood also seems to stay at the top layer.I thought the shape of the wings were weird but it turned out fine. I think it was slightly more adhesive than ‘Clean & Secure’ actually. Just make sure you wear cotton underwear. They won’t stick well to other fabrics. The length is perfect (11”). The same as the old design. They’re using plastic wrapper with this Bamboo line while “Clean & Secure” used cloth-like wrapper. I see they’re still calling these pads “heavy” when they’re not. It’s thin pads with extra long length. Look for the word “maxi” if you’re looking for a heavy or thick pad.Overall, the pads are not for me (mainly due to the pilling), but it could be perfect for you. I think the pilling is more common in organic/healthy pads such as this. Pros and cons with everything, right? If you replace your pads frequently then I think you’ll be happy with it. I didn’t experience any skin irritation so that’s another positive. I’m gonna go back to another old Kotex line like “Balance” or “Security” (unless they’re discontinued too). I’m not in the mood or have the budget to experiment with another new pad line.

This is my first time trying a more natural pad, and it is a game changer. Much easier to forget that you are wearing a pad than “always” or in-store brands i was using. Very breathable and natural feeling. I will only purchase these types of pads from now on maybe even just this brand in particular. Price is completely reasonable too.

I love Kotex pads. They have always suited my body best. But this new bamboo one was not for me at all. The top layer was coming off and man my skin very irritated. I had to return them and get the original Kotex pads.
